Woman allegedly raped at Edinburgh car garage as man arrested in connection

Police have launched an investigation after a woman was allegedly raped at a car garage in Edinburgh.Officers were reported to an allegation of a serious sexual assault at Peter Vardy BMW on Seafield Road at around 1.35pm on Sunday, November 3.A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

He was released pending further enquiries. Police have now said the investigation continues. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.35pm on Sunday, 3 November, 2024, we received a report of a serious sexual assault of a woman at a premises in the Seafield Road area of Edinburgh. “A 34-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiries which remain ongoing.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond.
