A pensioner has died after a horror three-vehicle crash on the A92 in Fife this afternoon. Emergency services rushed to the road, between Kilmany and Wormit, around 1.30pm on Tuesday to reports of a the collision.Sadly, a 73-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene where pictures showed a lorry had been forced off the road.
It currently remains closed in both directions to allow for crash investigations and recovery to take place. A major emergency presence is in the area with drivers urged to use alternative routes.
Traffic Scotland said road users were facing roughly a 14 or 18 mile diversion due to the collision.Posting on X, formerly Twitter, they said: "The #A92 REMAINS CLOSED in both directions between Rathillet and Kilmany due to a serious collision."Police and the operating company are currently on scene.
