Diamond Bus issues statement after woman dies in Piccadilly Gardens crash

manchestereveningnews.co.ukThe company running a bus which smashed into a bubble tea shop at Piccadilly Gardens has issued a statement following the crash, which killed a pensioner.
Diamond Bus North West says it is cooperating with police after an X50 bus hit the front of the T4 shop, next to the bus station yesterday afternoon (October 16).
Almena Amica, a 77-year-old woman who was a pedestrian at the time of the incident, has since died from her injuries sustained in the crash.
Eleven other people, both pedestrians and bus passengers, were either treated at the scene or in hospital for minor injuries.
