A woman has been arrested after a crash in east Manchester last night (Saturday). It happened on Hyde Road, near the junction with Mount Road at Belle Vue, Gorton, shortly before 10pm.
It is believed a car crashed into a lampost. Emergency services raced to the scene, near the Diamond Lodge hotel, and the road was closed for over an hour.

The driver, a 21-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug, that being cannabis. She remains in custody for questioning as an investigation into the incident continues.
