Though the Manhattan District Attorney has not confirmed if the arrest will take place, the former President of the United States could face charges and, if so, will be the first President in history to be indicted.

So why is Trump going to be arrested? Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has not publicly responded to Trump’s claims. Bragg’s office is leading the criminal investigation under Trump. “Illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan district attorney’s office … indicate that with no crime being able to be proven … the far & away leading Republican candidate & former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,” Trump wrote on his social media site Truth Social on March 19, 2023.

He also told his followers to “protest, take our nation back” at the end of his statement. So why does Trump think he will be arrested soon?
