We’re over 7 weeks into Dancing with the Stars‘ current season, however, week 8 will not be airing in its usual Tuesday night timeslot on ABC this week.

Why, you may ask, is the show being delayed? Keep reading to find out more… Well, Tuesday (November 5) is election night, and all ABC TV shows are delayed for the evening in favor of election night coverage, dubbed Election Night 2024: Your Voice/Your Vote The Democratic nominee for President, Kamala Harris, is taking on the Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

ABC will be keeping a close tally on the electoral college map, keeping viewers updated on who will be our next President. There are only 6 couples left on DWTS this season, and it’s a heated competition right now to win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy.
