‘The View’ Scored Its Highest Viewership in a Decade With Intense Post-Election Episode (EXCLUSIVE)

According to ABC analysis of Nielsen data, “The View” averaged 3.078 million viewers during the week of Nov. 4, making it the No.

1 show among daytime network talk and news shows. Specifically on Wednesday, Nov. 6 — the day after the election — “The View” attracted 4.470 million viewers, which made it the show’s most-watched episode since Barbara Walters’ farewell episode on May 16, 2014.

As Variety reported on that episode, “The View” hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar and Alyssa Farah Griffin spent that episode reacting to Donald Trump‘s victory over Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
