Charles Ingram
Charles William Ingram (born 6 August 1963) is an English novelist, computer repairman, and former British Army major who became known for being accused and convicted of cheating on the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2001, after winning the maximum prize of one million pounds. Following a lengthy trial at Southwark Crown Court, he was convicted on a single count of procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception. He was convicted of an unrelated insurance fraud in 2003, and ordered to resign his commission as a major by the Army Board.

Who Wants to be a Millionaire makes history tonight as the younger ever winner is crowned and takes home a life-changing amount of cash.

The ITV show, which airs at 9pm, is beginning its brand new series with host Jeremy Clarkson, and sees its first jackpot winner since Charles Ingram won and lost his prize in 2001 in the cheating scandal.

Ben Jones, 19, becomes the sixth millionaire the show has made as the Bridgend teen was teased mercilessly by Jeremy for his youth.

Jeremy joked that Ben's voice was dropping while he was filming, and alluded to his balls dropping as he piled the pressure on in between questions.
