Going into the summer the only position City really needed to strengthen this year was to recruit a striker, and by pulling off the signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, they've got a player who could well become the best in the world.
City are already the dominant force in English football at present, having won four of the last five Premier League titles, and adding Haaland to an already sensational squad seems akin to deploying a cheat code.
