Prince Harry flew from Los Angeles to London this week to show public support at father King Charles' Coronation on Saturday, making his first public appearance of the year with his royal relatives.
But the Duke of Sussex wasn't given a spot beside his immediate family inside the Westminster Abbey ceremony and was instead relegated to the third row to watch his father and stepmother Camilla crowned.
Reserved for working royals only, the front row saw William and Kate with their younger children Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte sitting together, while eldest Prince George served as a Page Of Honour during the ceremony.
The King's youngest brother Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, joined the new Prince and Princess of Wales in the front row.The second row was made up of James Mountbatten-Windsor, Earl of Wessex, Lady Louise Windsor, Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Anne, Princess Royal, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, Prince Michael of Kent.Then there was Harry, who took his seat in the third row alongside his cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, with Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi also a few seats along.
