Manchester United are into the Europa League knockout rounds after beating FSCB on Thursday night. United went into the game sitting in fourth position in the revamped Europa League table, but they finished in third after claiming a comfortable 2-0 victory against FSCB.
Ruben Amorim's side claimed 18 points in the Europa League league table phase, and only Athletic Bilbao and Lazio earned more (both 19) across the eight games of the new-look competition.
United will now face either Real Sociedad, Galatasaray, AZ Alkmaar or Midtjylland in the Round of 16. United last made the Europa League final in 2020/21 with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge, but they fell short against Villarreal and lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
Jose Mourinho was the last United boss to clinch European glory, overseeing a 2-0 win against Ajax in the 2017 Europa League final after goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
