‘Whiplash’ to Screen With Live Jazz Band Led by Justin Hurwitz at Beverly Hills Concerts (EXCLUSIVE)

variety.comJazz Tangcay Artisans Editor “Whiplash” is headed to Beverly Hills. In celebration of the film’s 10th anniversary, “Whiplash: In Concert,” conducted by Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz, will debut on Nov.
9 and 10 in Beverly Hills at the Saban Theatre. Hurwitz will lead an 18-piece jazz band that will accompany a screening of the original film.
In a statement to Variety, Hurwitz said, “A decade later, I’m still so proud to have been a part of Damien’s gripping and thought-provoking film.
That’s why I’m so excited to celebrate Whiplash’s 10th anniversary by conducting a live jazz band in front of the film in an iconic L.A.
