Celebrating a UK Christmas Number 1 is a British festive tradition that goes back decades, starting in 1952, when Al Martino claimed the snow-capped summit with Here in my Heart.
Since then, a wide variety of tracks have scored that special Number 1 – from festive faves and wintry ballads, to the occasional dance banger and, of course, a sprinkling of quirkier tracks that could, in all honesty, only reach Number 1 at Christmas.
