When Storm Jocelyn is ending in Scotland as Met Office extends wind warning

As Scotland held up against the fierce wind and rain that Storm Jocelyn brought, households will be eagerly awaiting the end of this second storm of January.A number of weather warnings - both amber and yellow - were issued across the UK as ScotRail suspended their services Tuesday evening in light of the storm.

The Met Office warned that some disruption may be likely on the roads and on public transport.So, when will Storm Jocelyn bid farewell to the country and will we get back to some normal January weather?

As of Wednesday morning, forecasters at the Met Office have extended a yellow wind warning covering much of Scotland to 3pm today.Scots will see the back of Storm Jocelyn come mid-afternoon on Wednesday, January 24.

The final Met Office weather warning for wind will come to an end at 3pm, after which Scotland will return to some milder weather.This warning covers almost all of Scotland, with the exception of the furthest western areas.
