DC fans have had a lot to celebrate recently, not least the incredible success that Robert Pattinson ’s dark new take on The Batman is proving to be.
However, away from the big screen, there are several DC TV series that we’ve had news on recently. While it’s been widely reported that Colin Farrell’s Penguin is to get his own spin-off series, there is more immediate news for another DC TV series, with Peacemaker (starring John Cena) now being given a UK release date.
The series sees wrestler-turned-actor John Cena return to the role he played in The Suicide Squad movie and picks up from where the film left off for the superhero/supervillain who believes in peace at any cost – no matter who has to die for it. When Peacemaker was initially announced, Gunn said:“I’m excited to expand The Suicide Squad and bring this character from the DC film universe to the full breadth of a series.
