But when is Red Nose Day in 2022?Here is all you need to know about this year’s charity event. This year, Red Nose Day is on Friday, March 18, 2022. There will be a televised fundraiser on BBC One that evening, set to be hosted by David Tennant, Alesha Dixon, Zoe Ball, and Comic Relief co-founder Sir Lenny Henry.
Comic Relief was founded in 1985 by comedy writer Richard Curtis and Lenny Henry in response to the famine in Ethiopia. The first Red Nose Day quickly followed in April 1986, and went on to become a bi-annual event.
