‘Wheel of Time’ Season 3 Casts Shohreh Aghdashloo

variety.comJoe Otterson TV Reporter Shohreh Aghdashloo will star in the upcoming third season of “The Wheel of Time” at Amazon Prime Video, Variety has learned.
It had long been rumored that Aghdashloo would appear in the series, but nothing had been confirmed until now. She will play Elaida do Avriny a’Roihan, one of the Aes Sedai like Rosamund Pike’s character, Moiraine Damodred.
Elaida is further described as “a ruthlessly powerful Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, as proficient in politicking as she is in channeling.
She has a deep history with Moiraine (Pike) and Siuan (Sophie Okonedo), and scores to settle with both of them when she returns to the White Tower.
