The Beatles will unveil their 'final song' today (Thursday November 2) - which features all four members and has been 45 years in the making.
Now And Then is sourced from a former John Lennon demo which was recorded in the late 1970s. Technology was used to extricate and isolate his vocals, while the track was finished off last year.
It is the last song to ever be credited to John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Sir Ringo Starr altogether. After the death of Lennon in 1980 aged 40, his wife Yoko Ono gave the recording to the remaining Beatles in 1994 along with Free As A Bird and Real Love, which were released by the band in the same decade.
During this period, the three remaining members recorded new parts and completed a rough mix for Now And Then in 1995 with producer and musician Jeff Lynne.
