The Grand National concludes today (Saturday April 15), with 40 runners and riders competing in the world's most famous steeplechase.
A staple of the British sporting calendar, thousands flock to Aintree Racecourse to watch the races every year. Meanwhile millions tune in to witness the action unfold across the UK and overseas, with an estimated 600 million viewers from 140 countries.
The National is the penultimate race of the three-day Festival which began on Thursday. Seven races are held each day, with 21 in total.
