United were linked with interest in Grealish throughout last season as the midfielder's fine performances helped keep Aston Villa in the Premier League.But there was no move from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side over the summer, and Grealish signed a new five-year deal with Villa.It has now been reported that the Red Devils were offered the Villa skipper - but they snubbed the chance to sign him as they were focused on Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.They of course failed to meet Dortmund's £108m valuation of Sancho, so ended up signing neither player.And United may regret their failure to pursue Grealish, who is reportedly now a target for several top clubs as he continues his excellent form for both Villa and England.
