Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Tiger King star Carole Baskin mistakenly sent a shoutout mentioning disgraced media personalities Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris on Cameo.Baskin was tricked into sending a message to Harris – jailed for over five years for sexually assaulting four underage girls – which mentions Savile – who was after his death accused of sexually abusing hundreds of individuals from 1955 to 2009 – by comedian Tom Armstrong.In a video posted to Armstrong’s Instagram, Baskin says: ‘Hi Rolf Harris, all your kids wanted to get together and tell you that you have touched them and that they love all that you have done for them. ‘I hear there’s a lot of great stories about you and your best friend, Jimmy Saville, can’t wait to hear those.
