What Andy Burnham has said about Man City's 115 FFP charges and Premier League investigation
manchestereveningnews.co.ukAndy Burnham has pledged to support Manchester City in receiving 'fair and consistent treatment' from the Premier League. The English top-flight charged its champions with 115 alleged breaches of financial regulations in February following an investigation in 2018.
These include accusations that the club failed to provide accurate financial information and failed to cooperate with investigations spanning nine seasons (2009/10 to 2017/18).
Manchester City deny any wrongdoing and the case is set to be heard by an independent commission later this year. In the meantime, Everton and Nottingham Forest have been issued point deductions by the Premier League for breaching profit and sustainability rules (PSR).
The Toffees have been docked eight points so far this term, but two of which are currently under appeal.
