‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Eyes Spring 2024 Production Start With a Move to Ireland
variety.comMichaela Zee “Wednesday” is moving production from Romania to Ireland for Season 2, and is tentatively scheduled to start shooting in April, Variety has confirmed.
The eight-episode first season, which originally debuted last November on Netflix, was shot in Romania from September 2021 to March 2022.
After breaking multiple streaming series records, including most hours viewed for an English language series in its first week with over 341 million hours, the horror comedy series was renewed for Season 2 in January. “Wednesday” follows Jenna Ortega as the titular “Addams Family” character, who enrolls at Nevermore Academy.
Per the official first season description, Wednesday “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.” Along with Ortega, the cast of Season 1 included Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Naomi J.
