Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Wayne Rooney has explained how he used Marcus Rashford 's story of breaking into the Manchester United first-team to help his Derby County side escape relegation from the Championship.
Derby drew 3-3 with Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the season, earning the vital point which meant they finished outside the bottom three.
Speaking to both Rashford and Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport's Between The Lines series, Rooney revealed that he had used Rashford's story to motivate some of the young players at Derby.
He said: "Marcus' story, from getting in the first team, I actually used it a couple of weeks ago."We've had injuries at Derby, so I've put a few of the young lads on the bench who hadn't even trained with us."So I used Marcus' story.
