Wayne Rooney has shared a rather pricey mishap involving one of his sons and a £3,000 golf cart at their family estate.The footballer and his wife Coleen, who are no strangers to luxury, reside in a lavish six-bedroom mansion which they moved into back in December 2021 with their four sons; Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight and Cass, six.The sprawling property boasts 40 acres of land and features two man-made fishing lakes designed by the Manchester United icon himself.
In a candid chat with Gary Neville on The Overlap recently, Wayne revealed that his investment in a golf cart for zipping around the grounds took a turn when one of his boys drove it straight into a lake.
During the interview, filmed at Wayne's grand abode, Gary quizzed him about the lake, asking: "Do you go swimming in that lake? " Rooney responded with a story of the aquatic adventure of his golf cart, saying: "I wouldn't.
We've had a golf buggy go in it.The day I've gone to America as manager." Rooney detailed the incident further: "I went to the airport and one of the kids, straight in.", reports the Mirror.This all happened while he was off to the States for his managerial stint with D.
