dailystar.co.ukDerby County star Wayne Rooney has had to settle for seventh-place when it comes to a recent vote of Football League stars. FourFourTwo asked their readers to vote for the top 50 EFL players of the season for their latest magazine issue.
Rooney, who joined Derby from DC United in January, has enjoyed a reasonable start at Pride Park. But the England legend has had to settle for seventh in the vote, after being beaten by some of the Championships brightest talents.
Aleksandar Mitrovic of Fulham tops the list, while Kalvin Phillips is second after his impressive season with league leaders Leeds.
West Brom's Matheus Pereira, Said Benrahma of Brentford and QPR attacker Eberechi Eze make up the top five. Brentford striker Ollie Watkins beats
