Video footage released by police shows the moment armed police swooped on Olivia Pratt-Korbel's killer - arresting him on his birthday.
On Thursday afternoon (March 30), Thomas Cashman, 34, was found guilty of the murder of nine-year-old Olivia by a jury at Manchester Crown Court.
She was shot in the chest at her home on Kingsheath Avenue in Dovecot on the evening of August 22 last year, as the gunman pursued his intended target, Joseph Nee, through the streets.
Merseyside Police have now revealed bodycam footage of the first of Cashman's two arrests. The footage shows police swarming the Decks apartment complex in Runcorn in the early hours of September 4 last year - which happened to be Cashman's 34th birthday, reports the Liverpool Echo.
