The 2022 Grammy Awards viewership numbers were slightly up after last year's record low.The gala hosted by Trevor Noah - which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas - on Sunday drew 8.93million viewers which was just a 1.4% increase from the previous year according to Variety on Monday.By comparison, last year's Grammy Awards - which were a hybrid of outdoor ceremony and indoor performances at the Los Angeles Convention Center - had a record low of just 8.8million. Uh oh: The 2022 Grammy Awards viewership numbers edged out last year's which were unfortunately a record low with just 8.93million viewers (host Trevor Noah is pictured)Variety notes that the total did adjust to 9.4million viewers in Nielsen’s Live + Same Day, which includes out-of-home viewing, but it was still a record low and ultimately ended up being down a whopping 50% from the previous year telecast from January 2020.
