Grammys was a welcome one, as colleagues and collaborators past and present mingled excitedly in the flesh. (See: hitmakers and Grammy nominees Benny Blanco and Blake Slatkin, below.)However, it’s fair to say that the overwhelming consensus on Las Vegas as a location for Music’s Biggest Night is a resounding thumbs-down.

Before we dig in, it must be stressed that no one wanted the Grammys to be in Las Vegas — including the Recording Academy, which stages the ceremony with broadcast partner CBS.
