Liam Gallagher
William John Paul Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the 1990s and 2000s, and later fronted the rock band Beady Eye in the early 2010s, before beginning a solo career after the dissolution of both bands. One of the most recognisable figures in British music, he is noted for his outspoken and abrasive manner; penchant for wearing parkas; distinctive singing style, in which he elongates vowels; and signature stance on stage, which consists of him holding his arms behind his back and singing up into a downward-facing microphone.

Snail Mail celebrated the highly-awaited Oasis reunion with a high-octane cover of ‘Supersonic’ during a festival appearance in New York City’s Central Park last night.

Check it out below.Yesterday (August 27) it was revealed that Liam and Noel Gallagher had finally buried the hatchet and will embark on a huge comeback tour with Oasis next summer, dubbed ‘OASIS LIVE 25’.Snail Mail – real name Lindsey Jordan – is an avid fan of the Manchester band, sharing an image of her trying to access the tour’s pre-sale ballot on her Instagram story earlier today.So, aptly, she used her set at Central Park’s SummerStage festival last night (August 27) to pay homage to them via a grungey cover of ‘Supersonic’ from their seminal debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ – which turns 30 this year.After wrapping up the tune, she growled “Welcome back Oasis” into the mic.

Check it out below:The upcoming run of Oasis gigs currently consists of multiple dates at Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.
