And while rumours have swirled since Liam and Noel Gallagher confirmed they would be reuniting for a string of UK and Ireland shows next summer, it's now thought that Liam's son is set to play a big role in their comeback tour after he was rumoured to have been involved in the band reforming.
Gene, 23, is reportedly set to support his dad and uncle Noel Gallagher on the sell-out tour next year with his own indie rock band called Villanelle.
Gene has confided in friends and confirmed his group will be one of ten warm-up acts for the Britpop legends, according to The Mirror. "Gene is supporting Oasis," the source said.
The source, who spoke to the Mail Online, added: "He's been telling a few people and he's really excited. He loves playing with his dad and knows it will be huge for his music career." In June this year, Liam Gallagher and former All Saints singer Nicole Appleton's son announced Villanelle would be heading out on their own UK headline tour.
