Washing machine hack uses common household item to get drums 'sparkling' in 10 minutes
dailyrecord.co.ukYouTuber and mum Sophie Elizabeth has shared a little-known hack for cleaning your washing machine, using just standard dishwashing liquid and minimal effort.Sophie regularly posts cleaning, budgeting and organisational videos on YouTube.
One video titled "Clean your washing machine in 10 minutes with just Fairy Liquid! (simple and effective)" has caught people's attention, as they are astonished by the results."[My washing machine is] starting to give a bit of funky smell, I'm not going to lie," she explains on camera.
She then pulls out a bottle of the popular washing up liquid before adding, "this isn't the only product I'm going to be using - I'm going to use a Pink Stuff scrubber if we need to get in any hard-to-reach areas.
And I'm also going to get a cloth out." She begins by taking out the filter out of the bottom of the washing machines, before cleaning the inside with just a scrubber and fairy liquid.
