Villagers in Milnrow are FUMING after an internet firm put up a monstrous 60ft mast near residents’ homes, with another one planned for nearby.
Residents say they had no idea IX Wireless was due to install the giant aerial at Harbour Lane over the summer - and want to stop the imminent arrival of an identical structure at Smith Hill.
The firm has courted controversy while rolling out its ‘next generation’ broadband across the north west - coming under fire for failing to consult residents or, in some cases, gain the required local authority permissions.
Milnrow has joined the list of places taking the fight to the Blackburn-based broadband - and the local councillors are calling on the government to step in and take action.
