Viktor Hovland has slammed golf's obsession with prize money as a "little bit sad" as players continue to leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf.
The Saudi-backed breakaway league has poached stars such as Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau, paying huge money to persuade big names to defect.
It's created rift with the PGA Tour, with Rory McIlroy in particular vocally critical of the LIV approach. But the PGA are in talks to join up with the Saudi Public Investment Fund, who provide the cash for LIV, despite major reservations of some PGA players.Their LIV counterparts have excused themselves from tournaments such as the Masters and the Ryder Cup.
Hovland has stuck with the PGA, but has concerns over its future and has hit out at the direction in which the sport seems to be heading.
