ok.co.ukSocial media users have been left shocked as a major character dies within minutes as new BBC One drama Vigil aired. While working on a submarine, Line of Duty actor Martin Compston's character was seen amongst other famous faces reporting an emergency.
After a disagreement with his seniors, Martin's character is escorted to his room to "cool off," but he is later found dead after a suspected drug overdose.Taking to Twitter, Vigil viewers expressed their shock at the sudden death of the character within minutes of the show airing.
