Everyone knows George Wendt’s name — well, at least Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg does. “Cheers” star Wendt was one of the two more celebrities who were revealed on Wednesday’s edition of “The Masked Singer.” Also unmasked: “Selling Sunset” star Christine Quinn. For Moose, panelist Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg got it right with George Wendt. Robin Thicke went with Jon Lovitz, Nicole Scherzinger named Ed O’Neill and Ken Jeong guessed John Goodman.

Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, the Emmy-winning producers behind “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and co-founders of World of Wonder, have responded to the wave of anti-drag legislation being introduced by GOP lawmakers, calling it “un-American.” Speaking with Variety over Zoom, Barbato said the bills — which are working their way through at least 11 state legislatures and threatening to restrict or prohibit drag show performances — are all part of an “insidious” campaign. “It’s been going on and it’s orchestrated by a minority,” Barbato said. “They have been successful in these hideous laws. That same minority is threatening the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community. They are a threat and we must take them seriously.”

Thania Garcia Nadya Tolokonnikova, the founder of the politically charged punk group Pussy Riot, has been named one of Russia’s most wanted criminal suspects. The news first appeared on the outlet Mediazona, an independent news site founded by the band to cover the country’s courts, law enforcement, and prison systems in an effort to combat Russia’s growing press restrictions. According to documents cited in multiple media reports, including Mediazona’s, Tolokonnikova’s name was in the Russian Interior Ministry’s database of wanted individuals for unspecified criminal charges. Variety has reached out to Pussy Riot’s representatives for comment.

Sophia Scorziello editor Nneka Garland, an Emmy-winning producer on “General Hospital,” died Monday in Burbank. She was 49.  She had suffered a heart attack at her home in Sherman Oaks, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Garland joined the ABC soap opera in 2001 as an executive assistant and spent the last 22 years working on the show. In 2021, she became a producer of “General Hospital” and shared a Daytime Emmy win for outstanding drama series. That same year, show writers named recurring fictional character Nneka (Arlondriah Lenyéa) after Garland.

King Charles III is causing a shakeup in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal housing. According to royal reporter, Omid Scobie, the monarch is evicting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from their Frogmore Cottage residence to allow his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, to take up residence. The move comes after Charles took away Andrew's access to his former apartment and office inside Buckingham Palace.
