Bosses in Trafford fighting 'rocketing' Covid infection rates say the situation is 'very grave' - and have issued new guidance on kids isolating and face masks at schools.
The borough's infection rate currently stands at 618.1 per 100,000 people - a 37 per cent increase in a week. It is the highest rate the borough has seen since the pandemic began - and the highest of any Greater Manchester borough at present.
It is the fifth highest rate in England as things stand, according to Public Health England analysis.
