Vernon Kay has shared why he believes working with his BBC Radio 2 co-host Richie Anderson on The One Show would be "a director's nightmare", in a humorous exchange on the airwaves today.
Ahead of fronting BBC's evening show with Lauren Laverne this evening, the presenter asked Richie if he was also a part of the line-up, to which he confirmed that he wasn't.
Following this, Richie, 36, jokingly remarked: "They said they tend to not put me and you on together because we'd be too good." Agreeing, Vernon, 50, replied: "Oh, we'd overrun!" "It's not fair on all the other channels," Richie continued, laughing.
Imagining how their shared gig would go, Vernon went on to liken it to "a director's nightmare" as they'd be "all over the place" when it came to sticking to the schedule.
