The pair were back on the sofa for a jam-packed episode which featured interviews with Ant McPartlin, Declan Donnelly, Naomi Ackie, and Toni Collette.
The show began awkwardly when Alex's earring fell out, leading Vernon to scramble on the floor to find it. Later on, he had to apologise for Toni's "potty mouth" after she accidentally said "s**t" during their live chat.
When she let the word slip out for a second time, Ant, Dec, and Naomi struggled to contain their laughter. Reflecting on the mayhem on his BBC Radio 2 show on Thursday, Vernon, 50, described the studio scene as "absolute carnage".
