"So I was like, ‘Okay, we got to pivot and take a good hard look at our company and figure out what it is that we can do to make sure that there is really a place in the world for KNOW Beauty.’ Give it a reason to be here in an extremely oversaturated marketplace." With a new approach in mind, Hudgens relaunched KNOW Beauty with just one product, the , to match her new skin care philosophy. “I turned to clay masks because I wanted something that could fit seamlessly into your skin care line, something that you don't have to give up anything else in order to have, because we've all worked so hard trying to figure out what works for us,” she says. “I don't want to tell you to change anything.

I just want to give you another product and tool that can give you actual solutions to issues.” Hudgens recognizes that everyone's skin care journey is different, something she knows firsthand.

Growing up in front of the camera and on stage, she struggled with acne under the spotlight. “I was so used to wearing tons of makeup, and I honestly didn't really feel that pretty or confident if I didn't have a full face of makeup on,” she says. “It was like the crutch that I leaned on.

My outlook on beauty has really changed the past few years.” This new outlook is also deeply rooted in self care. Most of all, Hudgens wants her products to look and feel intentional.
