Vanessa Feltz has slammed former stars of This Morning who have publicly criticised the show, as she said they have an "aggrieved, grudging malice".The 61 year old, who has often appeared on This Morning over the years, either as an agony aunt or as part of a discussion panel, has spoken out after ex-This Morning contributors, such as Eamonn Holmes and Dr Ranj Singh, aired their grievances about the show. They, themselves, spoke out after rumours of a feud between show hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield led to him sensationally quitting after 21 years of fronting it, before releasing a statement admitting to an affair with a young male colleague during his time on This Morning.
Eamonn Holmes, who used to present on a Friday alongside his wife Ruth Langsford, did an interview with GB News where he blasted Phillip, Holly, and the programme, whilst Dr Ranj spoke of a "toxic" environment at ITV's flagship daytime TV show.
Speaking on her Talk TV show on Tuesday, Vanessa said: 'It has been suggested that quite a lot of the people who are very vocally critical of This Morning and, actually, it's a handful of people, there are some celebrities, a couple of journalists, and what's been suggested is quite a lot of them were once on the programme and aren't on it anymore. "And that is the reason for this aggrieved, grudging malice that is coming out but if you ask people who are still on the programme and who are on it regularly, who enjoy being on it, they won't know what they're talking about." This Morning's longtime editor, Martin Frizell, appeared to be thinking along the same lines as Vanessa, as he accused outspoken stars condemning Phil of “settling scores” amid an allegedly “toxic” work environment.
