'Usual' dog breeds gain popularity following lockdown puppy boom

There are quite a few 'rare' dog breeds making a comeback as lockdown resulted in a huge 'puppy boom'. More 'usual' types of dogs have become increasingly popular throughout the last 18-months with a Royal favourite amongst them.

The Kennel Club -the largest organisation in the UK devoted to dog health, welfare and training - released new data on dog breed trends ahead of its upcoming Discover Dogs Event.

The date returned some pretty surprising results, according to Hull Online.There has been a clear rise in popularity of ‘more unusual breeds’, including several which were only recently classed as ‘vulnerable’ due to the low registration numbers.This includes Irish Red and White Setter, named the most vulnerable breed in 2019, as well
