Urgent police appeal over 'concern' for missing man

Police have issued an urgent appeal for the public's help to locate a missing man. Michael, who is 44, was last seen in the Glossop area at around 8pm on Sunday night.

Earlier that day, at around 4pm, he was sighted in the Tameside area. His photograph and details are now being shared by police in Derbyshire.

The force said officers were 'concerned' for his safety and appealed for anyone with information to come forward. He was last seen wearing a black top, trousers and a coat.

In a statement, Derbyshire Police said: "We are concerned for the safety of a missing man from Glossop. "Michael was last seen in the Tameside area at around 4pm yesterday (Sunday 9 February) and was then seen in Gladstone Street in Glossop at 8pm. "Anyone who has seen or knows the current whereabouts of the 44-year-old, who was last seen wearing a black top, trousers, and coat, is asked to ring us using the 999-emergncy number with reference 36-100225." His full name hasn't been disclosed.
