Urgent hunt for missing dad and daughter, 3, after car park attack

Officers say they need to find Simon Cooney, 35, in relation to an assault which occurred in a car in the area of Kingscote Park, Blackpool, at around 4am this morning (Monday, August 28).
During the incident, a woman was punched to the face and bitten to her hand, before she left the car. Police say his three-year-old daughter, Autumn, is understood to have remained in the car, and that officers are now 'extremely concerned for her welfare' as they search to find the dad and daughter. Lancashire Police believe Autumn may be with Mr Cooney but the car involved has 'since been located abandoned on Lakeway, Blackpool, and they could have travelled anywhere'.
Officers warn that anyone who sees Mr Cooney to 'not approach him', but call 999 'straight away'. In a missing appeal released at around 1.20pm this afternoon, the force said of images of the father and daughter: "This is Simon Cooney, 35, and his daughter Autumn Cooney, aged three. "We also urgently need to find Autumn, who remained in the car, as we are extremely concerned for her welfare.
We believe she may be with Simon, however the car has since been located abandoned on Lakeway, Blackpool, and they could have travelled anywhere. "We now are asking anybody who has seen them, or has information about where they might be, to get in touch straight away.
