A university in Las Vegas has been locked down after reports of an active shooter killing multiple people on campus. Las Vegas police said the suspect who reportedly opened fire at the University of Nevada is now dead, after a lockdown of the university and airport.
As a result of the incident Harry Reid International airport grounded their flights temporarily, and shutdown I-95.The cops tweeted: "The suspect is contained.
This is an active investigation. "Please continue to avoid the area and watch for responding emergency units."University police confirmed earlier today that they were responding to reports of shots fired on campus.
According to police, "There appears to be multiple victims at this time,” LVMPD said, reports the Mirror.UNLV is two miles from the strip in Las Vegas, and adjacent to one of Nevada's bigger airports, Harry Reid International, located right next to the campus.
