President Volodymyr Zelensky is alive after a car ploughed into his motorcade in Kyiv. Ukraine's leader is reported to not have been seriously injured during the collision.

However, his driver was rushed to hospital by an ambulance. Mr Zelensky's spokesman Sergei Nikiforov said the president was assessed by doctors after the crash.

The medics had been travelling with him. Mr Nikiforov added that the incident took place in the nation's capital Kyiv. The doctors accompanying the head of state provided the driver of the car with emergency assistance. "The President was examined by a doctor, no serious injuries were found.
