It’s going to be a wet and windy start to spring with heavy rain set to hit the country next week. The downpour will begin in the northwest of Scotland tomorrow, before it moves southeast into England and Wales mid-week.
Today, by contrast, is set to be a cold but sunny Mothering Sunday for Brits with a predicted high of 11 to 12C. Sub-zero temperatures plunged as low as -4 overnight, meaning parts of the country will be waking up to frost once again.
