Britain is set for another blast of heavy snow and rain in the wake of deadly Storm Christoph, which caused chaos up and down the country.
The Met Office has issued new snow and ice warnings for swathes of the UK with up to 6ins expected in a -10C Arctic freeze. The latest spell of severe weather threatens further misery for flood-weary residents of England and Wales.
A slow-moving band of snow, sleet and rain will sweep in from the west on Sunday morning and it could dump 6ins (15cm) of snow over Dartmoor and Exmoor in South West England, and as much as 4ins (10cm) above 100m in parts of Shropshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire.
