UFOs reported across Lanarkshire but MOD no longer investigates phenomena

A total of nine UFO sightings have been documented in Lanarkshire in the last couple of years.The unidentified flying objects, which have varied from cylindrical to star-like, have been reported in the sky over areas in Hamilton, East Kilbride, Airdrie and Cumbernauld.They are amongst almost 1000 UFO sightings noted across the United Kingdom in the last two-and-a-half years – and an updated map reveals the extent of the unexplained activity taking place in the skies above.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

That includes 410 in 2021, 494 in 2022, and 53 as of May 20 this year.The interactive map details the sightings across the four nations with almost 100 across Scotland, including those in north and south Lanarkshire.

Seven of which were recorded during the course of 2021.On April 22, 2021 a sphere-shaped UFO was seen in the sky in the Hamilton area.
