Tyson Fury has confirmed that he is going to take some time away from the ring before deciding what is next following defeat against Oleksnadr Usyk on Saturday night.
The Gypsy King was looking for revenge in the rematch between the two, following his loss to the same fighter just seven months ago.
However, with the fight going the full length, it came down to the judges’ scorecards. The unanimous decision saw Usyk awarded the victory.
It’s a decision that Fury have labelled as a ‘Christmas gift’ to his opponent just a few days before Christmas Day. “There’s no doubt in my mind I won the fight, that’s it, we can’t cry over it,” he said in his post-match press conference. “We didn’t feel no spirit, we felt a bit of Christmas spirit in there and I think he got a little Christmas gift from them judges. “It is what it is, I’m not going to cry over spilt milk, it’s happened now.
